Thanks for the replies thus far, some good info to consider. Any other input would also be appreciated.
We have a hundred acres - about 38 acres bush (mixed), 7 swamp 25 hay, 25 pasture, and about 5 acres around buildings, gardens, orchard etc.
We have a couple of Jerseys cows, 7 head total, pasture 20 Hereford cross yearlings for the season, have about 160 freerange hens, do 300 pastured meatbirds, play with a little duck and guinea fowl breeding, have 7 horses, and do a little foresty and milling.
We have been using our in-laws equipment mostly - a John Deere 2120 for most of the hay and field work, and a John Deere 5103 for loader work. It is getting a little tiresome trying to line jobs up and driving 4 miles down the road just to do loader jobs, hence the need for a tractor. Now that I have decided to look, trying to be patient lol.
