From the article I just read on Partzilla the time sert would be better since the helicoil is considered a one time use deal versus the multiple times a wheel bolt will be screwed in and out for tire repair or changing. Now that being said if you wanted to I suppose you could drill the hub out a bit to hold a stud put in from the back side or as already said just use a longer wheel bolt with a nut on the back. His choice. I would guess.
