Quote: CVPost-bwillett (quoted from post at 08:41:52 12/12/23) One of my Uncles was a welder/general mechanic and had a tire recapper machine. I don't know how long it took him to build it, but back in the mid 1960's he built a tractor with a hit and miss engine on it with a 3 speed transmission and an automobile rear axle. He also built a cab for it. It resembled one of the big gas tractors of the early 30's. It was great fun to drive it around his property.....
There was an old guy in my area that had an old horse drawn road scraper / grader. He put an engine in the thing and he had two transmissions in the thing. One trans was for going forward and the other one was for going in reverse. It was a pretty neat thing. I wish I had taken a picture of it.
