Nice Lady came into the store one day . Said her car was making a noise . Went out to the car opened the hood . The serpentine belt was only on by a couple of bands of belt. Got the vin number off the car . Looked up the belts , asked her she wanted . Good better best. She said she would take the good one ,she could not afford the better best ,. I believe her , she was sincere. I got the belt ,told the boss the situation ,told him I was going change the belt ,he agreed ,he knocked some off the belt for her. Asked if I needed anything come and get him. Went and got the serpentine wrench , out of rental . Took the tools out to the car. Asked Lord please help me on this one. Changed the belt without a hitch . She thanked me. Off she into the world.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
