I had a 1964 American for awhile when in college. A man rear ended me and totaled it. I replaced it with a 1969 very clean and low mileage American. Finished college with it and decided I wanted a Ford XLT pickup. I wish I still had the little Rambler. Miss Joanne's first car was a 1972 Gremlin X with the 232 engine. It was a fun car and served us well until a neighbor here after college collided with me driving it around 1979. We replaced it with a Hornet wagon since we had become a farm owner. We liked it too. I needed room to move to and from college in the fall in spring in those days. In both Americans I pulled the back bench seat out of them , and they hauled much more stuff. My parents appreciated that.
