Installing the aftermarket three points is actually quite easy. You drop the draw bar from the belly, there is a plate held pin under there that retains the bar, remove the nuts from the four 'swivel' bolts on the 'U' shaped brackets at the axle mounts and drop the assembly and move it out of the way. I use my floor jack with blocking to stabilize the assembly prior to removal so it doesn't fall on the floor and smash the toes. The three point simply bolts back onto the four swivle bolts (two on each axle). All in all, with two guys it should only take about 0.5-1.0 hour depending upon the 'rust' factor on the bolts. A single cylinder is really all you need unless you anticipate trying to lift something very heavy. Single will handle a plow, blade, mower, etc... Don't know about things like big round bales (never had to move them) or such. You can install a dual action cylinder (thats what I have on my SMTA) if you've got a Super H with a live pump (or a rigged live pump). If you are using the standard belly pump, you only need a single action cylinder, obviously (power up, free float down). I have not had any experience with Saginaw...how about the rest of you Farmall nuts?
