They still sell the 231 Massey, made in Poland now. It's in the 34-35 hp range 3cyl Perkins diesel. I bought a new one in '94. Would't start in the winter even when plugged in, very low hyd output (3gpm), can't operate remote Hyd outlets at same time as 3 point. Had seals out of injector pump on 1st tank of fuel (fuel supplied by dealer), 2 alternators in 1 1/2 yrs, trouble w/pto, hyd clutch slipping. I feel I probably had a lemon, & I liked it when everything was working, but that's my experience.
I'm a lot happier with my old 350 IH utility, parts are just as easy to get.
