Dug, When the flathead Fords (1932 to 1953) went to the top mount modern distrubutior in the 40's, instead of the front dual point set up like the old 60 and 85 hp models, they were 239 cid and around 100 hp. I think those are the ones you are talking about?? However, the 100 hp is at a certain rpm, and I doubt if they ran that high rpm in the tractors, so their hp would be considerably less as their revs dropped off as they were not a super high torque long stroked engine.
