I corrected a leaking hydraulic pump on my JD M by draining a quart back out that I had overfilled in the first place. I don't think I'm a threat to society in general, but I constantly surprise myself with my stupid mistakes. All my dealer could do when I told him was to shake his head. End result: No leaks with less oil. There are also some after-market additives that claim to swell old gaskets and seals and help stop leaking. I've never tried any, but for as many as you see, somebody must be. Happy hunting.
