Agree with Tom from Ontario. The 4020 was perhaps the best ever built of many great machines. The difference in size, power, capability between the 8-9N and 4020 is so large as to be almost beyond compare. The 4020 is a lot of tractor but would provide a platform that can be grown into. Concur on the JD dealer comment; that's my experience with my dealer. Some on MY thoughts: wide front, later model, diesel. Gasoline will be better deal; the gas engines drank the stuff. Diesels are tougher, take more of a beating and fuel is cheaper. You can easily buy the dyed non-taxed stuff. If you're serious, consider costs and tax consequences. Farming is a business -- never forget that. Best Wishes
