I've had my 656 Diesel Hydro for many years. I've had no hydro problems, but be sure to keep fresh HyTran in the system. Try to get one that has two hydraulic filters instead of the original one filter. The second one is a spin-on that I think is a final filter just for the hydro. Mine is used for planting corn and cultivating corn, but I really like it for things that gear tractors can't do. Like -- hauling loads, blowing snow, or other PTO work. If you need to rework the Hydro, there is a place in Kansas -- Abilene Machine that sells entire rebuilt units. Not too long ago the price was about $3200 exchange. That's not too bad compared to the amount that can be spent on a gear drive. None of them are cheap.....Ken....
