The Torque amplifier is exactly what it says it is. It increases torque to the wheels, by basically downshifting. It reduces the ground speed while maintaining the same engine speed. It can be shifted while moving, but do not shift from direct to TA while going downhill, it will freewheel and the tractor could get away from you. On the 350, it is the lever on the left. forward is direct drive and backward is the TA (engaged) mode. The 350 is a great tractor. Take care of it and it will be good to you. hope this helps. JW
