Another great help is heat...we know that not all folks have oxy-aceteyne ....but propane torches can be of help....the key here is if while you're heating it you hear a "clink"...this indicates that there has been movement between two pieces that have been bonded by rust...not a guarantee but a good sign. The best tool we ever bought is a good impact wrench....there are some really good electric ones on the market...don't skimp get one that has a good rating..and you'll pay for it...we have one from Sears that can take off stuck lugnuts that we were sure we'd break. The hammer action is better than the constant pull of a wrench....(kinda assists the brass drift punch that was mentioned in the last post)...if you do get them out without drilling great....(but you might have to drill and tap a new hole)....make sure when you reassemble it you use anti-sieze compound...(Permatex makes a good one)...using the compound we've been able to get exhaust systems apart years after assembly....good luck.
