Mike, I have had a couple AC "G" over the last 20 plus years and although they did the job for me, I needed two to keep one running. I was a vegetable farmer and used the "G" for cultivating and nothing more. It is really under powered and the four cylinder engine (N62 Continental) only had two main bearings, one on each end of the crank and none in the center which gave me problems. I broke several cranks and they are getting more difficult to get along with the rest of the engine parts. The individual brakes were extremely poor and needed constant maintenance. It does not have live hydraulics which made it difficult to operate for some of my employees not familiar with with the older tractors. I still liked the tractor because of the visability and the harrow tires, but I would not recommend it for todays operations. There are several similar tractors out there today like the Hefty that is far superior to the "G." But if you are handy, like the older tractors, and don't care about chasing down parts, they are a real conversation piece. Good luck with your decision. Plant Doctor
