Of course price on an Oliver Super 88 as on any tractor depends largely on condition and to a smaller degree on location. I think the $1000 Olivers are just about behind us. That is if it is complete and runs. That is true of almost any model Oliver. I'm not saying it can't happen but but it would be the exception rather than the rule. In general the Olivers have gotten a little spendy. They have the right combination of being good tractors and few enough in numbers. They have done well in pulling contest. There collector club is second to none. If it was me and I wanted one I would consider myself lucky if I found a decent one for $1500. More likely I would try to find a real good one and expect to pay $3500. That is plenty to pay but I do mean a real good one. I was taught by dear old dad that you can not pay to little for a bad or to much for a good one. I have found that be the true with older tractors. I have done it both ways and now believe I have saved money paying a little more up front for a good one. The price of parts adds up quick.
