I need some mechanic input. I have a 2002 Pontiac Gran Prix, with 125,000 miles on it. Never have had the first minutes trouble...until now. I went to town this morning and returned...all was well. I got in the car a few hours later and it refuses to start and run. It will run for maybe 5 seconds and die. I suspect the fuel pump....if it was ignition related, it wouldn't hit a lick...right? I can hear the fuel pump energize when i turn on the key...that is what is weird. maybe the fuel filter suddenly decided to plug up...I don't know where to start and hope some of you can tell me where to look first and a troubleshooting procedure to rule out other things. Thanks.
