Gee after 10 years mounting tractor tires you guys got me scared. But all that is said is true and I wouldn't suggest a novice use more pressure. But I have two comments. One is a ready available lube that is fine to use is vegetable cooking oil. The other is that unless you have a death wish never stand beside the sidewall of a tire (any tire) that is inflating. That is a rookie mistake. Use a clip on chuck and stand by the tread and no closer that you have to.
