i' m sure the main reason is supply and demand. i live in tennesee now and prices here seem steep compared to nebraska where i used to live. my brother in law lives in indiana and he has several friends that buy tractors up there and bring them down here to sell because the $$$$$ is better even considering that there are ocassionally good deals in the local paper, co=op bulletin board
thrifty nickel etc which i follow even though im not looking for one right now. also word of mouth sometimes helps if you have some buddy's that are into old tractors also. just keeep lookin and good luck !!!!
