We've had problems with the fuel injection pumps as well. The problem is not the engines, as you say, they are the injection pumps. Just be sure you get an injection pump that has the updates on them.

We've had good luck with these engines after fixing the problem with the fuel injection pumps. We recommend buying a fuel injection pump that has been been tested on the $120K test machines that are typically available only at the Stanadyne dealers and make sure the pumps have been updated as per all the latest factory technical service bulletins.
