Hey guys, I'm considering buying some land (trying to create an environment condusive to raising my two young boys ) and have a question for you farm boys. Of the 50 acres about half is wooded and half old field that I would keep knocking down with a rotery mower as needed. Now, about 10 acres has been allowed to grow up in alders, 1 to 2 inch in size. So thick you can hardly walk through. It does not seem to be wet or anything so I was woundering what the best way is to reclaim that field. My resorces at the moment are rather limited ( an old JD B and a couple of chainsaws ) but will pick up equipment as I go. Any ideas welcome. Thanks, Dan.
