I commented on your earlier post and am glad to see your enhusiasm because tractors are something a father and son can talk about for lifetimes. I still like to talk tractors with my dad and grandfather.(It's interesting to hear the opinions of people who used what I'm trying to collect. Also keeps me from buying models I'll regret later.) Anyway, I would also suggest something small, now I'm an IH man myself but I would recommend something with a hand clutch. If your teaching a youngster to drive these make it easier for the adult to stop the movement of the tractor. As I said, I learned on a JD H. Dad would put it in first gear for me (I was not allowed to give it much throttle, change gears, or leave the rock of the driveway) and ride on the back, and he would pull the clutch back if he thought I might be doing something I shouldn't.
