If the oil is sludging due to extreme heat a quality synthetic oil such as Mobile 1 or Amsoil with oil changes a specified in the owners manual.
As said previously here, not replacing the oil filter everytime is false economy.
The other common cause of oil sludging is "Granny driving" a few miles at most per trip. The engine never warms up & dries condensation/combustion by products out of the crankcase oil.
What brand(s) of fuel/oil were used in the failure cases?
