i don't have a problem with shifting up one or two gears, but i limit myself to one or two. down-shifting with a load behind? not me! if i don't have the power to hold a constant speed under load, i stop, pick a lower gear and leave it there. i can't imagine wanting to slow down by down shifting, especially under load. the word "jack-knife" comes to mind, especially with a 4 wheel wagon behind me. just my opinion.

Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned.
