If it has frame rails and a long shift lever sticking way back so you can reach it it is a WC. Being a 1940, it will be styled (streamlined sheetmetal) There is another possibily, it could be an IB, an industrial model B. These are not too common. If it is a WC it is probably worth about $2000 if it is in good shape and runs well.Check the rear rims carefully, some AC had calcium cloride in the rear tires at somepoint and it can rust out rims terribly. The rear tires too are a factor, good ones would add to the value as they are fairly expensive. Check the transmission for water. Pull plug at lowest point and see if water comes out. The rubber boot on the shift lever of AC will leak water into the transmission if it is allowed to deteroriate to the point of cracking. The PTO, if the tractor has one under the transmission is the low point. They can get enough water in them to freeze and crack. Sometimes the cracks can or have been repaired by brazing. And if you buy it change the oil in the final drives, nobody has ever done this probably.
