So you need another tractor? You never know when the other(s) might break down. You just need a tractor for some of the lighter or simpler jobs. So why not buy an old tractor? After all if they have been running alright for the past fifty years, they couln't have been that bad. Probably a very good investment and if you happen to enjoy it - then all the better!!! Go for it.
