I recently developed a leak in the CAV injector pump for my MF 2745 (V8 540cu in Perkins Diesel). There is a lever on the pump for excess fuel used for cold weather starting the shaft started leaking big time. I made several calls about having it repaired it all sounded $$$$. A friend told me to head up to London Ontario to a pump shop there. I dropped off the pump and the man said to come back in 2 hours. When I returned he had my pump on a test bed for 30 minutes and no leaks. He then told me that there were no parts available for the pump ( obsolete)..(the other pump guys said they'd have to rebuild it) The fella charged me $ 120 Canadian and gave me a tour of his shop. He knew his stuff and was up front and honest. He could have told me any number of things and how would I know? He impressed the heck out of me. If anyone needs some work done I can post the phone number of this gentlemans shop. Farmer/Paul
