Mosey, You mentioned that you had a very hard hill and you mentioned a tilt trailer for moving the soil. Are you talking about a hydraulic dump trailer and do you already have one? It wont take many buckets of soil to be all that you would want to move with your NH on a hill. Scooping the soil on top of that hill with a loader will be harder than filling the rear scoop. If you buy an older tractor and want to dig with it you will put the clutch and the brakes to the ultimate test. As far as the hill is concerned it might make more sense to get a neighbor with a larger tractor and a dirt pan (drop slip) to move that soil. It might also be cheaper to hire a backhoe and dumptruck for a day or too. I have owned a tractor with a loader for 10 years and have been operating them longer than that and often run into friends or coworkers that think they will replace a bulldozer, payloader and forklift under any conditions. Loaders are handy tools for what they are designed to do, but are dangerous when missused. Digging and moving full buckets of soil is one of the hardest jobs you will ever ask your tractor to do. If you just want a loader, shop around for a good price for a quick mount for your NH. Purchasing an old tractor and loader for a cheap price and justifying it by moving the hill may not make good sense.

Well, although these tires were in good shape as far as tread was concerned, they looked real sad. All were flat, but new tubes fixed that. In addition to years and years of scuffing and fading, they had paint splattered on
