The switch that controls the brightness of panel lights will also turn on your interior lights if you turn it all the way over (I think to the bright side, you should feel it click). That is the manual override to the electronic module that controls them otherwise. If it takes 10 minutes or more for them to turn off, you have a problem. They should stay on for no more than about 2 minutes, then fade out (they call it theater lighting). To answer your question, yes, you do have to remove the door trim panels to access the switches, but you should be able to reach in and unplug them, one at a time, to see which one may be bad. Be sure to close the door and wait for the two minutes to elapse. I would pay very close attention to the wiring in the door that goes back to the switches. The wires can get chafed on sharp edges inside the door, or maybe pinched by screws that hold the trim on. Good Luck. E-mail me if you need anything else. God Bless, Tommy
