That doesn't look right for a serial number. Is it a 4 cylinder or a 3 cylinder? The early 2000 4 cylinder tractors were really renumbered 600/601 series tractors. It was halfway through 1964 when Ford introduced the new 3 cylinder trators. If it is a 3 cyl then it shoud have a hood where the entire right side hinges open. One the undrside of the rh hood there should be a tag. This will have a serial number starting with a letter, most likely a "C" for tractors built in NA and a unit number which has a number and letter combination. This will tell you the date of assembly and even the work shift. e.g. 0E25B 197"0"-May(E)-25th-shift"B" (daytime). The serial number will also be stamped on one of the upper flat surfaces of the bell housing just behind the engine. I forget if its the right or left side. If its a 4 cyl then the serial number is stamped on the flat of the bellhousing on the left side. If I remember for a later build 4 cylinder it should have 6 numbers in it.

I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
