My 8n is great for alot of things, but the shale soil around here makes it hard to pull a plow. I have an old IH disc, 8 foot, I can only pull it on the level or down hill without losing traction. (It don't stall, just starts spinning tires, calcite, weight and chains.) I once plowed a small two acre field with it, took a very long day with just a single bottom plow. Ain't no way it would pull a two bottom plow in this soil. Further, my tractor does stall out when I try to pull a loaded hay wagon up hill.(scary) If the snow is over 9 inches or so, the 8n either bogs down in it, or loses traction. Either way, it can't clear the deep snow off the driveway.
