The North Texas Municiple Water district is about to flood(!)hugeportions of several rural counties 70 mile from Dallas. It will be called the Marvin Nichols Reservoir, is is to bebuilt to serve the water needs of the growing Dallas area. Any body care to guess what the biggest single use of water is in the metroplex? Irrigating lawns, which accounts for around 75%of all water consumed, including industrial use, according to water district statistics. Several thousand farm families are to be flooded off of land that they have farmed for generations so the yuppies can keep their yard green. And yes, the yuppies will sue you if your plowing stirs up dust.
