Most likely the book for the #5 mower is still available from JD (and other sources). The book shows the hookup for many different tractors. But just because it is a #5 does not mean that the mower will have with it exactly what is needed to mount it to YOUR tractor. Mounting attachments vary widely and probably are not now avilable from JD. Best to buy one that specifically will mount on yours. Or plan to make your own by following the illustrations.
