boy am i surprised you have'nt got any feed back on this question...i'm not sure i can be much help as i just got my first tractor yesterday, but i'll try anyway...first of look at the things that you would check out as if you were buying a car or truck...the obvious things..engine , tranny and so forth...then look to see the condition of auxilary equipment..such as hyd. pumps or power steering pumps and pto..see if the hitch moves if its so equipped..i think the best advice i can give you is to research the model tractor your buying on this site..become familiar as much as you can with the model ...you will then approach it with a little more knowledege and you may find something you would not see otherwise..be it good or bad..this is the approach i took..when i made the decision to buy i at least felt somewhat confident in that i know what i was buying....i hope someone with more knowledge than me can give more specifics..GOOD LUCK, Joe
