WATCH OUT guys -this could get you in BIG trouble! Recently acquired my wife's late uncle's JD B - She was thrilled that it was coming to live here and stay "in the family." I was happy too - grew up on a similar tractor, of approximately the same vintage - and this one is a pretty good one. Besides, I was awful fond of Uncle Paul too. NOW HERE'S THE PROBLEM: Tractor was made same year as my wife was born, 1949. MADE THE MISTAKE OF POINTING OUT TO HER THAT THE TRACTOR WAS CONSIDERED AN ANTIQUE! Not one of my brighter moments!

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
