You can pull that tractor on a trailer behind a 6 cyl. F150, but you don't want to do it very far or very often. I pulled a Ford 600 with a loader (less bucket) on a U-haul car trailer (probably just over 6,000 lbs total) behind a 77 F150 6 cyl with the T-18 4-speed transmission and a 3.00 rear. It was all it wanted to handle. You don't say what your rear ratio is, but I'm guessing it's 3.00 or 3.11. The T-18 4-speed with the creeper 1st gear was a godsend for getting the load moving - I don't know how the 5-speed is geared, but I'm sure it's a weaker tranny. Forget hooking to the bumper unless you buy a "super bumper" made for towing. Get a frame mounted receiver hitch - preferably Class IV (Northern Hydraulics sells these very reasonable). You might want to try towing the tractor on a rental car trailer before investing in your own trailer to see what it'll be like. I've replaced the 77 150 with an 85 F250 diesel and there's a world of difference for towing. SUGGESTION: Put the brush hog and the loader bucket in the truck bed rather than on the trailer.

From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
