I have filled them and for the life of me i am not sure it all dependes on the bag they are of differant sizes , i know that we filled two bags and i think they were 9x150 i think and we put what we call high moisture corn in some people call it cracked corn with a cob mix , what ever but to fill them both it took 28 acres of good corn , but if you are going to do silage it is a waste of money when you could build a trench or bunker and it will always be there , a use bagger will cost around 10 to 15000 around here and the bag is around 950 . I usualy just run the combine or run the tractor runnen the bager for a buddy of mine. my other two buddys have built bunkers and like them just fine now that we got everything set up we use two tractors for leveling and packing one tractor hauling wagons and one on the chopper and it moves along realwell as far as acre per cow i am thinking around 4to five per year.
