I know this is not a truck forum, but I know that tractor owners drive trucks so I thought that you should know this info to maybe save you money. I was having some things checked out on my truck today by Jim Jessup in In. A few years ago he turned it up for me. Their is a problem in the cummins diesels in the 94-early 98 12 valve trucks. A dowl pin in the front of the engine can come out and reek havack on the timing gears of the engine. Pre-fix cost me $150. A fix after breakage can cost $1800 to $3000. Warranty is only on trucks still under factory warranty. You can call Mr. Jessup at 1-812-873-7618. He works on these trucks for a living since retiring from Cummins corp. He is located in North Vernon IN. Leave him a message and he'll call you back and let you know what you can do. Sorry for the long post brian in ky
