Hello, My husband and I are shopping for a new tractor. We've been looking at the Kioti DK 35 with the 1415 loader, the JD 4300 series, the New Holland TC30, 33-D and 35-D with the appropriate loader (not sure what the # is) and last but not least the Kabota 4300 with appr. loader. We'll be using it to move/feed 1200 lb round bales of hay, moving, tilling manure, a little landscaping and just general small horse-farm type stuff on level ground. We've talked to many dealers and of course what they're selling is "the best". Can anyone out there give me some feed-back. I'm leaning toward a Kioti--seems we can get a lot of tractor for the money and I haven't heard anything negative yet. My husband likes the New Holland but it's a lot more money. I've not read anything negative on the NH either. However, the John Deere has had some negative posts as far as price and having to work on them. The Kabota seems OK but a lot like the Kioti but more money. I tried to find a consumers report on tractors but to no avail, so any info would be appreciated. Thanks Sue, from beautiful, but still cold, North Idaho

But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
