I doubt you made the money to buy the tractor on Nikkei stocks over the past ten years. Maybe you traded puts on Yen. I'd guess the money came from NYSE or NASDAQ companies. I'm over 50 also and have come to believe there's some Karma in these things -- or as they say in Texas, "dance with the one what brung ya." A company in Moline IL is probably deserving of your business -- or at least a close look: traded on the NYSE, ticker symbol DE. I've had a 1966 vintage JD 1020 with a loader for over 20 years now. Not a day in the shop. That size machine should do everything you want... and may outlast you the way I suspect mine will outlast me. Full disclosure: I am a JD stockholder -- not much hope for short term appreciation -- but they did pay 22 cents a share last week. No investment banking relationship, but obviously a satisfied customer. Good luck in whatever you choose.... just remember the Karma thing.
