There was a pond discussion several months ago on one of the boards. I don't remember now which one, but there were some good suggestions.
My contribution was to check with your county Agriculture office for the type of soil you have. A local farmer some years ago tried to build a pond on soil that wouldn't hold water. We all got a good laugh, but it cost him a lot of money. Good luck.
