The rule of thumb is that if it has 3 point, it has to have hydraulics (of some sort) to raise and lower the 3 point. The 40 and 420 have internal pumps, so its there, you just don't see it like the external powertrol on the others. 3 point was still an option in those days (lots of farmers just had tagalong equipment, and no need for the 3 point- especially true on the broad prairies of of Canada and north-central US, where fields were so vast you just dragged something along all day, and hoped to be home by nightfall. Hence the developement of huge tractors like the Big Bud, the Hixton Wheat King, and lest we forget, the legendary Prairie Dominator 2000).
