In ND we do feed 4 to 5 months of the year, and having 150 head of cattle makes the big round bales a necessity. BUT we also use square bales to put in the hay loft to feed to the cattle that are kept in the barn - such as after they calve or we have to pull a calf or other such things that require a closer watch. Right now we are feeding about 7 big round bales per day, these bales weigh around 1500 pounds. Dunno how much an idiot cube weighs, but I know I wouldn't want to carry that many out to the pasture every day! Steven
