Certainly does depend on the type and size of the disc. By the 7U series D4, you had 52-56 HP, depending on what reference you checked. These models were late 40's thru 50's. We had a '51 D4, 18" pads, it would play with transport 20' disk w/18" blades in third. Now that these models are quite old, engine condition may under power them. The D4D's were 65 HP, nicer handling, but you still ate dust from tracks. If your 90 HP wheel tractor struggles to pull your disk, the D4 should handle them in third. Good luck.
