I was over at my friend's place yesterday and he recently purchased a '52 Hudson Hornet ... beautiful restored car, two-tone, big 6-cylinder flathead, twin carbs, the same model that won Daytona for a few years back in the early 50's. Anyways, he is scheduled to put the car in a big auto show this spring and he had a billboard poster made up at a signmaker's shop that had all the stuff a guy usually puts on those posters like year, model, engine specs, etc. Some guys have the same thing made up for tractor shows. At the bottom I see that he puts both his and his wife's name as the owners even though we KNOW she probably prefers that he had put the money spent in the bank or into new kitchen cupboards. We had a pretty good laugh over that little manoeuver he made with the sign and I guess that's a good way of making momma feel that she's really part of the whole habit that he's got. She wasn't fooled though, I think those cupboards are a little closer to happening than he thinks.
