Mine is in two parts, separated by a double door. House is split level on a hillside with garage and shop underneath facing the back. Shop proper is heated/cooled and is 20x30. I keep all the tools there, outfitted with modular kitchen cabinets and drawers for storage with formica tops for work surfaces. I trash them pretty easy, but they are cheap, and I don't use any of the trim. Adjacent is the garage part of the shop and is also 20x30, enough for two tractors and a 4x16 heavy duty workbench (No formica here. This is a real workbench). This is about the size shop you are considering and same philosophy (no storage). I don't heat/cool the garage, and use a normal metal garage door. This works fine most of the time. I occasionally leave the double doors open to use central heat/cool to leak into the garage (door down). I also use halogen lights on tripods as heaters. We don't need much heat here. When weather is worst (Aug/Sept heat), this doesn't work at all and I just hibernate. This is plenty big for one tractor project, but when two are in there I have to occasionally roll one out to make room (to paint, for example). Below is a link to a picture taken half way through the F12 restoration. You can judge size from that. You are building a great one-tractor shop!

After my grandfather’s death in 1955, J.P. Rollins, son of the landowner, used the tractor. In the winter 1985, while in his possession the engine block cracked and was unrepairable. He had told my father
