You should have four linkage rods (or straps) hangng down under the tractor. There is a peg on each one that slips into a bracket on the mower deck. Secure them with a washer and cotter pin. I think the owners manual tells how to check to be sure it's level. After it's leveled hook up the drive belt to the engine pulley and you're ready to go.
