Check the coil, put a meter across + and - and put meter on ohms. Try several ranges to make sure it is not open, or connect jumper wires to coil + and - respectivly from battery. When you disconnect the battery the collapsing field in the coil should throw a spark, (yellow)not a big one but a visible spark.(Not responsible for personal injury). He He! If good then reconnect . Take the distrubitor cap off and make and break the points with the key on. If no spark from the coil you might have a bad condensor. Should be blue spark, hot hot hot. You could check to see if you have continuity (resistance "ohms") between the - on the coil and the frame when the points are shorted together, then an open on the meter when the points open up. Short out the condenser before connecting the meter anytime. I am assuming that the rotor button is turning when when the motor is turning over. I am also assuming you will lay the coil wire close enough to ground while trying to make the spark. Less than a quarter inch.

I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
