Two chains would be enough for me.Personally I dont like rachet binders,I use the other kind and tie them with baling wire.The most imprortant thing is to keep the chains tight.After you drive a couple of miles stop,check the chains,then maybe go 10 miles and check them,if they are still tight its probobly going to stay that way unless you hit the brakes hard.Try and drive allmost like you dont have any brakes,slow down before you have to stop.The DOT says you have to have something across it every 10 feet,so you might want to throw a strap across it somewhere just in case you are in an accident and the cops come and try and say you dont have it secured right.Every time you latch the binders tie them with wire.I haul heavy equipment sometimes and thats what I do.
