Interesting question!-there were only about 2700 made, estamates that i have heard are that no more than 60% of them are left & 40% of those are unrestorable--that would leave no more than 1200=1400 left!--one does'nt see these sell everyday, here is what i've actualy seen sell in past year--saw one @ auction, needed everything(motor, torque, tires, bodywork, brakes,d.bar, fenders, etc),it sold for 3000,new owner would have to spend minamum of 10,000 additional to restore! heard about a real nice restored one @ auction bring 13000+.IF you can find someone that is willing to take a loss ,you might find one in the 8000 to 10,000 range---you might find a repainted one in the 6500 to 8500 range--these motors cost 3000 to 5000 to overhaul & a new clutch & torque will run at least 1500,so if it is truly restored, figure anything less than 10K is a loss for seller! tract's that i know of for sale @ present are,3 that are restored for 15K ea,1 restored(10 yrs ago)for 10K, 1 repainted(nice)for 7K,one exc original for 6K &2 that need restoring for 5K+

From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
