Tractor Supply Company is the company which originated the "Power Blocks" for John Deere A,B,G,50,60 and 70 tractors. They are likely called "Tractor" supply because they originally supplied aftermarket tractor parts. Nowadays, they are a fairly good "general merchandise" farm supply store. They have heavy emphasis in supplying the Horsey crowd (who btw own quite a few antique tractors and use them to put up the horse hay their horses eat). The service in MY local TSC is good---clerks will help you and will answer questions. They do have a lot of clothes (western clothing). They sell a lot of fencing---both rolls of wire, steel and wooden posts, and livestock panels, they have a low priced line of blades, post hole diggers, brush cutters and small 3 point equipment. They sell a lot of lawn tractors and my local one now handles CUB CADET in addition to their "HUSKEE" brand (Also MTD). Central Tractor had more antique tractor parts and also had their catalog warehouse from which you could get good used parts. TSC can get you a rebuilt generator or starter, but they don't specialize in it and are pricey. I like my local store and buy stuff there. I don't buy their paint. (See other people's comments--I agree with those comments too). If you have no other store of this type, I don't know what they'd be like. We also have a brand new ORSCHELN Store. TSC will "compete" for your business if they have competition I think.

After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
